Simpsons Beverages
Carbon & Climate
Simpsons Beverages is a UK-based manufacturer of high-quality syrups, cordials, and soft drink bases, supplying the food and beverage sector with tailored flavour solutions. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, they approached 5D Sustainability to understand their carbon footprint and ensure their sustainability efforts aligned with day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
Challenge and Opportunity
Simpsons Beverages approached 5D Sustainability to help them understand their carbon footprint and create a structured, actionable Carbon Reduction Plan. They wanted clear insights across their operations, including manufacturing, offices, and logistics, and a roadmap that supported their long-term Net Zero targets.
Approach & Solution
5D Sustainability carried out a full carbon footprint assessment across Scope 1, Scope 2 and five key Scope 3 categories, giving Simpsons Beverages a clear view of their emissions. Working closely with the project lead, they then developed a clear and credible Carbon Reduction Plan aligned with PPN 06/21, outlining practical steps for implementation and a longer‑term Net Zero strategy.
Results & Impact
The assessment highlighted priority areas for reduction, including upstream distribution, commuting and energy use. With these insights and a structured plan in place, Simpsons Beverages now has a clear foundation for reducing emissions and progressing towards their Net Zero targets.

“Working with 5D Sustainability gave us a clear picture of where our emissions come from – from our office, fleet, and manufacturing operations through to commuting, business travel, and logistics. Their guidance helped us prioritise actions to reduce our footprint, and we now have a solid plan in place to support our Net Zero targets.”
